Members of American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine invited to partake in developing new National Security Strategy

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksandr Danyliuk, has invited members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine to participate in the development of a new National Security Strategy.

The invitation came as Danyliuk was speaking at a round table with representatives of companies that are members of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine (АСС) on Friday, July 26, the NSDC press service has told UNIAN.

"Who else but businessmen knows what the economy needs? Your opinion is important," Danyliuk said.

The NSDC secretary stressed that the new Ukrainian authorities, headed by President Volodymyr Zelensky, seeks the broadest involvement of business circles in the formation and implementation of state policy.

According to him, a favorable business climate is a prerequisite for the progressive development of the domestic economy.

"We need to strengthen the mechanisms for protecting property rights, protecting investments, at which a recent presidential decree on countering raider attacks is aimed. We are determined to make fundamental changes," said the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council.

Also, Danyliuk noted that among the priorities today is energy security, in particular, gas supplies. He stressed that Ukraine is interested in continued transit by the European rules.
