The last time dollar cost UAH 25.2 was recorded in Aug 2016.
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) strengthened the official hryvnia exchange rate by 18 kopiykas, bringing the national currency to UAH 25.25 to the dollar.
This is the lowest dollar rate recorded in almost three years.

Earlier, experts said in their forecast that the hryvnia will weaken by the end of the year, although its rate is unlikely to reach the level of UAH 29.3 to the dollar, laid down in this year's state budget.
