In particular, 24.9 million tonnes of winter wheat was threshed from 6.1 million ha, or 90% of the plan; 8 million tonnes of barley from 2.4 million ha (91%), and 590,000 tonnes of peas from 258,000 ha (98%), the Agrarian Policy and Food Ministry's press service said.
In addition, Ukrainian farmers threshed 196,000 tonnes of rye from 72,000 ha, or 62% of the plan; and 172,000 tonnes of oats from 67,000 ha (37%).
Agrarians also threshed 3 million tonnes of winter rapeseed from 1.2 million ha (98% of the target).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian farmers on May 2 completed a campaign to sow early spring crops on 2.1 million ha.
In 2018, Ukraine harvested a record high yield of grains, having threshed 70.1 million tonnes.
