The number of FlixBus's partners in Ukraine may increase to four or five companies.
German FlixBus, which is Europe's largest low-cost bus carrier, will develop passenger transportation services in Ukraine in partnership with the country's largest bus carrier Gunsel.
The move will be announced at a press conference on August 13, organized by FlixBus, which will be attended by Michal Leman, Managing Director of FlixBus Poland and Ukraine, and Zeki Kocak, General Manager at Gunsel Group, according to Ukraine's Center for Transport Strategies (CTS).

It is expected that the details of cooperation and new joint destinations and cities included in FlixBus's expanding service network and the company's development in Ukraine, as well as its further plans will be announced at the event.
As was earlier reported, FlixBus announced its entry into Ukraine's market on June 11, 2019. The company also presented its plans for 2019 to launch new routes from the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsa, and Ternopil.
At the initial stage, FlixBus will operate on the country's routes using its Ukrainian partners' buses with the FlixBus logo.
The EuroClub passenger carrier became the company's first partner in Ukraine. According to Leman, this is a typical way for FlixBus to enter many markets. That is, the company starts with the cross-selling of tickets, and when 20-30 seats are sold in a partner's bus, the company decides that the entire bus should be equipped and branded according to its standards.

Gunsel Group has been operating in Ukraine for over 20 years. In 2016, the carrier entered the international passenger transport market by launching the Kyiv-Warsaw route.
