The company will cut the price by 5.1% in August.
National Joint-Stock Company Naftogaz of Ukraine has calculated the new price of natural gas in August for Ukrainian households and other consumers it sells gas to under public service obligations (PSOs).

In keeping with a government resolution dated June 5, the price will be UAH 4,653.54 (US$184) per 1,000 cubic meters, which is 5.1% down from July, the company's press service said.
The final price in Ukraine's regions depends on the gas distribution tariff set by the National Energy and Utilities Regulations Commission (NEURC) for regional or city gas companies. It is noted that gas suppliers are obliged to inform their consumers about the final price.
In total, the price at which Naftogaz sells gas to households and other consumers under PSOs has dropped by 25.4% since April 2019, the press service added.
As UNIAN reported earlier, according to the Cabinet's resolution, Naftogaz in June was obliged to sell gas to households at a price that is the lowest at one of the four marketplaces: the price for commercial consumers for the previous month, the Economic Development and Trade Ministry's data on average customs gas prices for the past month, the weighted average price on the Ukrainian Energy Exchange, and the price set by Cabinet resolution No. 867 of October 19, 2018. So, the company must choose the lowest of the indictors.
