Among other foreigners working in Poland, Ukrainians make up the largest share.
Since year-start, some 644,000 foreign nationals have been legally employed in Poland, of which 484,000 were citizens of Ukraine.
That's according to Wojciech Andrusiewicz, the press secretary for the Social Insurance Institution, Radio Poland's Ukrainian service reports.
"The next national group is ten times smaller. We're talking about citizens of Belarus, whose number is within 38,000. Next come Georgians at about 9,500, and then Moldovans and citizens of Russia – more than 8,000," Andrusiewicz said.
According to the official, all said foreigners have been employed in accordance with Polish law: only 3-4% of them start their entrepreneurial activities.

At the same time, labor market expert Andrzej Kubisiak added that Polish employers are primarily interested in employing Ukrainians.
This applies to the industrial, construction and transport and logistics fields.
As UNIAN reported earlier, in December 2018, according to the estimates of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, about 2 million Ukrainians were working in Poland in construction, agriculture, and service sectors.
