When asked about the failure of the 2020 draft national budget to provide funds for an overhaul of the airport in the city of Dnipro at a press marathon in Kyiv on October 10, Zelensky said: "There is only one answer – we will build an airport in Dnipro. We are not putting anything off. We will build airports in 2020, and not only in Dnipro."

Zelensky says he has agreed with Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk and Finance Minister Oksana Markarova to jointly discuss the draft budget for the next year before submitting it to the Ukrainian parliament for consideration in the second reading.

"They have not yet come to me with a final budget," he added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, during the Ukrainian-Turkish business forum in Istanbul in August 2019, Zelensky announced Ukraine would invest at least US$20 billion in the development of its infrastructure within the next five years.

According to the president, it is planned to overhaul 24,000 kilometers of roads, increase the number of actually operating airports to 15, and ensure the development of five seaports.
