Ukraine's freight transit flow is expected to grow by 6-7 million tonnes in three years.
Belarusian Minister of Transport and Communications Aleksey Avramenko says Belarus has concluded an investment agreement with Beltopenergo for the construction of a river port on the Dnipro River in Gomel region near the border with Ukraine.

"If we talk about the first stage of construction, investment will total US$20 million," he said at the Second Forum of Regions of Ukraine and the Republic of Belarus, as reported by Censor.net on October 16.
According to Avramenko, the investment is required for the initial launch of the river port.
The first phase of the construction will start simultaneously with the dredging of the Dnipro River by the Ukrainian side. It is expected that Ukraine's freight transit flow will grow by 6-7 million tonnes in three years.
As UNIAN reported, Ukrainian President Volodymry Zelensky earlier said: "Belarus is our key trading partner."
