Retail trade in Ukraine almost 10% up in nine months

The city of Kyiv saw a 14.7% rise in retail trade.

Retail trade in Ukraine in January-September 2019 grew by 9.8% compared to the same period in 2018, according to the country's State Statistics Service.

The agency has not yet published monetary indicators.

The highest growth of retail trade was reported in Vinnytsia region (by 17.6%), Ternopil region (by 16.9%), Kyiv region (by 15.7%), and in the city of Kyiv (by 14.7%).

According to the State Statistics Service, retail trade in September 2019 alone decreased by 3.3% compared to August 2019, but increased by 8.6% compared to September 2018.

As UNIAN reported earlier, retail trade in Ukraine increased by 6.1% in 2018 from 2017.
