Ukraine's central bank buys US$90 mln on interbank market on Oct 21-25

The amount of foreign currency purchases since the year's start has exceeded sales by nine times.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) bought US$90 million on the country's interbank forex market from October 21 to October 25.

This is three times more than during the previous week, the NBU said on its website.

The NBU said it did not sell foreign currency last week.

As a result of the recent purchases, the amount of foreign currency bought by the NBU since the beginning of the year has exceeded forex sales by US$3.975 billion, or nine times.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the National Bank in September 2019 replenished the country's international reserves through the purchase of US$300 million on the interbank market.
