As UNIAN reported earlier, on November 2, Ukraine stopped injecting gas into the underground storage facilities and began pumping it out to ensure the smooth 2019-2020 heating season.

By the start of the current heating season, Ukraine had accumulated 21.76 bcm of gas in its underground storage facilities against 17.2 bcm reported before the start of the 2018-2019 heating season.

Earlier, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine said the country needed to accumulate at least 20 bcm of gas in its USFs to pass the forthcoming heating season.
