Every month, Ukrainians initiate tens of millions of transactions using NFC digital wallets.
Ukraine has entered the Top 10 European countries in terms of the number of NFC (near field communications) transactions using portable devices, including smartphones, smart watches, and bands, according to the Mastercard international payment system.

Every month, Ukrainians initiate tens of millions of payments using NFC digital wallets, Mastercard's press service said on November 29.
The popularity of new payment methods stems directly from their convenience and security for users.
It is noted that the Netherlands ranked first by the number of transactions with portable devices in Europe, it was followed by the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
According to the relevant world ranking, NFC-enabled devices were most popular in Australia and the Netherlands.
Mastercard says the global market of such portable devices may reach EUR 30 billion by 2020.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the number of payment cards in Ukraine in January-September 2019 grew by 9%, to 64.7 million, while active payment cards accounted for 60%.
