Nefyodov boasts of increase in customs revenues

In November alone, the customs transferred to the state budget a total of UAH 30.3 billion ($1.25 billion).

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UAA1 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Customs revenues in September-November of this year increased by 1% year-on-year, up to US$3.87 billion, as announced by Head of the State Customs Service, Maksym Nefyodov.

"At the same time, the value of taxable imports decreased by 7% (primarily due to falling global prices for coal, gas, oil). That is, so far, customs collect more taxes while reducing the cost of imported goods. As a result, the tax burden has increased over recent months per 1 dollar of imports – from $0.26 in 2018 to $0.27 in 2019. The customs value of non-raw material imports is also seeing a positive trend (growth from $1.5/kg to $1.6/kg), which indicates a gradual decrease in gray import schemes. We keep on working," Nefyodov wrote in a Facebook posting.

In November alone, the customs transferred UAH 30.3 billion ($1.25 billion) to the state budget.

"The [November] plan has been fulfilled: we transferred UAH 30.3 billion to the budget. And this is despite the fact that we're seeing an increasing discrepancy between the budgeted hryvnia exchange rate with objective reality. For the end of the year, the budget has laid down UAH 29.4 per dollar, while today the NBU has it at UAH 23.97," the head of the Customs Service added.
