Zelensky enacts law on state budget for 2020

The Verkhovna Rada passed at second reading and as a whole the bill on the state budget of Ukraine for 2020 on November 14.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has enacted the law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2020.

As of December 11, the law was returned to parliament with the president's signature, as evidenced by information published on the official website of the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on October 18, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in its first reading the government bill on the state budget for 2020 with revenues in the amount of UAH 1.079 trillion, expenses at UAH 1.170 trillion, and deficit ceiling at UAH 95 billion, or 2.1% of GDP.

On November 5, the Cabinet of Ministers submitted to the parliament a draft state budget for 2020, finalized for second reading, based on an updated forecast with a GDP growth of 3.7% and an average annual rate of UAH 27/USD.

On November 14, the Verkhovna Rada passed the budget at second reading and as a whole.
