Ukraine's hryvnia strengthens against U.S. dollar to UAH 23.60 on Dec 12

Trade on Ukraine's interbank forex market on Wednesday, December 11, closed at UAH 23.54/23.57 per U.S. dollar.

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Wednesday evening set the official forex rate at UAH 23.60 to the dollar, which made the country's national currency stronger by nine kopiykas.

The Central Bank set the following official exchange rates of the hryvnia against key foreign currencies for December 12:

US$100 costs UAH 2,360.3546 (UAH 2,368.9203 as of December 11);

EUR 100 costs UAH 2,614.0927 (UAH 2,624.053 as of December 11).

The previous four-year maximum was set at UAH 23.69 per U.S. dollar on December 10-11, according to the NBU website.

Trade on Ukraine's interbank forex market on Wednesday, December 11, closed at UAH 23.54/23.57 per U.S. dollar, while the hryvnia quotations to the euro were at UAH 26.11/26.14.

As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukraine's national currency in November 2019 strengthened by 3.4% against the U.S. dollar. The hryvnia has also strengthened by 13.4% since the beginning of the year, to UAH 23.97 per U.S. dollar.
