Abromaviсius suggested that NATO consider expanding the format for engaging the Ukrainian industry in NATO's multinational projects.
CEO of Ukraine's state-run Ukroboronprom Concern Aivaras Abromaviсius says the company's management has focused on reforming Ukroboronprom and is moving toward its corporatization.

"We've focused on reforming the very essence of the concern's existence and are moving toward its corporatization. Finally, all required conditions for the implementation of key reforms have developed, in particular, thanks to the establishment of effective interaction and full support on the part of the Verkhovna Rada [Ukraine's parliament] and relevant ministries," the concern's press service quoted the CEO as saying at a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Joint Working Group on defense and technical cooperation held at the NATO Headquarters on December 12.
Abromaviсius also suggested that NATO consider expanding the format for engaging the Ukrainian industry in NATO's multinational projects and studies by the NATO Industrial Advisory Group to support and help in the areas of standardization, quality control, and conformity assessment of defense products.
"A very important and promising area of cooperation may be the involvement of our enterprises in repairs and upgrading of weapons and military equipment of Soviet design and production, which is used in the Alliance member states. We are also ready to join as co-contractors in developing and manufacturing Western models of weapons and military equipment," the CEO said.
Abromaviсius also proposed that their cooperation in the field of strategic air transportation under the Strategic Airlift Interim Solution (SALIS) program be reinforced.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Abromaviсius Ukroboronprom CEO on August 30.
