Russia expands sanctions against Ukraine

The Government of the Russian Federation has expanded the list of goods prohibited from importing from Ukraine, as well as expanded the list of citizens of Ukraine in respect of which special economic measures are introduced.

The corresponding decree of the Russian government of December 16 was published on the official portal of the legal information of the Russian Federation.

Another nine individuals are listed and two are withdrawn from the list, which now includes some 570 persons.

In particular, the list includes Volodymyr Bosenko, Oleh Bryndak, Oleksandr Ivanitsky, Oleksandr Ivanov, Andriy Ivanov, Valery Mihalatiev, Dmytro Tantsiura, Oleksandr Sheremet, and Yuri Shumakher.

In addition, the Russian government has expanded the list of goods whose import from Ukraine to Russia is prohibited.

Corn starch, glucose and fructose, medical air ducts and tubes, heating pads, catheters, hemostatic tourniquets, and a number of other medical devices are prohibited from imports.

Also, the ban applies to radiators and central heating boilers, as well as parts of liquid pumps.

At the same time, the list of products whose export from Russia to Ukraine is prohibited is supplemented by recyclable paper or cardboard (waste paper and related waste).

The decision comes into force from the day of its official publication.
