Kilometer-long lines have been formed at checkpoints of the Ukrainian-Polish border; people have been waiting for several days to cross the border.
As the TV news service TSN learned from people standing in the lines at the Smilnytsia checkpoint in Lviv region on December 22, their line had not been moving for five hours.

Some have been waiting for an opportunity to enter Poland for 40 hours.
The situation at the Shehyni checkpoint in Lviv region is even worse – a line of cars there is dozens of kilometers long. Eyewitnesses said that some cars had been waiting for three days.
Ukraine's State Customs Service said it would share respective statistics with journalists and comment on the difficult situation at the border later.
Huge traffic jams on the border with Poland were reported in the middle of December, when transportation firms were given additional permits for international road haulage.
