The State Tax Service (STS) of Ukraine says the Cabinet of Ministers has changed the procedure for submitting information to tax agencies, allowing the use of e-signatures.

In particular, the government approved a resolution amending paragraphs 9 and 13 of the procedure for periodic submission of information to the state tax authorities and receipt of information by the specified agencies upon written request.

"Recipients and users of electronic trust services will be able to use a qualified electronic signature with a qualified public key certificate during the periodic submission of information to the state tax authorities and receipt of information by the specified authorities upon written request," the STS press service said on January 30.

New provisions will ensure proper implementation of the requirements of the law of Ukraine on electronic trust services, the press service added.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the legislation on electronic trust services became effective in Ukraine in November 2018. The relevant bill was passed by the parliament in 2017.

Electronic trust services suggest the introduction of electronic signatures and stamps, electronic time verification, and registered delivery of an electronic document, which expands the list of services that could be obtained online. The services also enable electronic timestamps and e-identification.
