The ranking includes popular tourist destinations.
The Ukrainian national railways company PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia says railway services between the Ukrainian capital city of Kyiv and Kharkiv were the most popular among passengers in 2019.
"A total of 1.7 million passengers traveled by rail along the Kyiv-Kharkiv route in 2019," the company's press service said on Facebook on January 3.

The Top five 5 routes also include those between Kyiv and Lviv (1.6 million passengers), Dnipro (1.3 million), Vinnytsia (1.1 million), and Odesa (0.9 million).
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrzaliznytsia in 2019 transported 942,100 passengers to and from the European Union countries, which was 14.9% up against 2018.
