Ukraine's telecoms, postal services providers see 1.4% decline in revenue in 2019

Ukraine's State Statistics Service says revenue of enterprises providing telecommunications and postal services in Ukraine declined by 1.4% in 2019, to UAH 71.6 billion (US$2.9 billion) against 2018.

At the same time, mobile operators' revenue totaled UAH 37.6 billion, or US$1.5 billion, the report said.

Ukrainian providers' revenue from landline services in 2019 stood at UAH 4.56 billion (US$186 million), while that received from Internet services was UAH 13.73 billion (US$560 million).

Over the period under review, revenue from providing radio communications and broadcasting television and radio programs reached UAH 3.36 billion (US$137 million), including UAH 2.37 billion (US$96.7 million) from cable TV services.

Revenue from postal and courier services amounted to UAH 6.54 billion (US$267 million).

The report does not include information from temporarily occupied areas in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and certain areas in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, it said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, revenue of Ukrainian enterprises engaged in providing telecommunications and postal services in 2018 fell by a mere 0.4%, to UAH 72.6 billion (almost US$3 billion) year-on-year (in comparable prices).
