As of today, the plant has manufactured 250 modernized combat vehicles in total: 162 T-64BV tanks of the 2017 model and 88 T-80BV tanks, the report said.

The upgraded T-64BV tank of the 2017 model is the main combat vehicle of the Ukrainian army, which proved to be excellent at repelling Russia-controlled hybrid military forces' attacks in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.

The tank boasts thermal imaging, improved explosive reactive armor, a new digital radio station, advanced night vision devices with a third-generation electron-optical converter, an emergency alert system, satellite navigation equipment, etc.

The T-80BV tank also has such new specifications.

"The Kharkiv armored plant continues to fulfill government orders in due time and in a quality manner despite the emergency situation in the region and the special mode of work amid the [coronavirus] quarantine. Its engineers are constantly introducing the latest elements of upgrading, which ensures the competitive combat capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," the CEO of the plant, Viacheslav Strelets, said.

Since the start of the Donbas war, the plant has manufactured (repaired and upgraded) and supplied about 400 armored vehicles to the Ukrainian military.
