Expert: Coronavirus quarantine complicates businesses' operation, Ukrainians may lose jobs

The quarantine is now killing the economy, employment, the budget, and healthcare, Nayman says.

"Employees who had the so-called short-time work – in the service sector – have already been affected. I think that up to 20-25% of Ukrainians, or even 50%, may be fired. They may also be placed on temporary leave. It depends on the quarantine," he told at the Pravo Na Vladu ("Right to Power") TV panel show on March 26, as reported by the Ukrainian TSN TV news service.

"In my opinion and that of my subscribers: the quarantine harms more than the novel coronavirus does. In fact, this is happening now. The quarantine is now killing the economy, employment, the budget, healthcare," the expert added.
