The sowing of peas and oats is almost over.
Ukraine's Economy Ministry has reported that since the beginning of the spring sowing campaign, Ukrainian agrarians have sown 4.8 million ha, or 32% of the forecast, with spring grain crops, legumes and industrial crops.
Farmers have almost finished sowing peas (375,600 ha, or 95%) and oats (92,500 ha, or 97%), the Agrarian Department of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine said.

In addition, 115,500 ha of the planned 132,500 ha were sown with wheat, 872,700 ha of 1.1 million ha with barley, 1 million ha of 5.4 million ha with maize, 2 million ha of 6.2 million ha with sunflower crops.
Also, farmers sowed 188,800 ha of the planned 209,000 ha with sugar beet crops and 116,000 ha of the planned 1.4 million with soybeans.
The leaders in the sowing rate this week were agricultural producers of Vinnytsia (+375,750 ha), Poltava (+272,400 ha), and Sumy (+263,200 ha) regions.
"Despite the difficult weather conditions, in particular, the deficit of productive moisture in the upper layers of the soil and night frosts, the sowing campaign is proceeding dynamically, meeting the agrotechnical deadlines," Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Ihor Petrashko said in a statement.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture on March 20 announced the start of spring sowing in all regions of Ukraine.
