The illegitimate authorities of the Russian-occupied Crimea are facing difficulties with attracting an operator of a future gambling zone, said ‘chairman of the State Council Committee of the Republic of Crimea on the economic, fiscal and tax policy’ Vitaliy Nakhlupin, according to local news agency Novosti Kryma.
"Unfortunately, we don’t have the operator that would present a clear strategy on development of this cluster. Unfortunately, Crimea has no [such] historical experience, and the potential operator that could clarify this issue is perhaps weighing the risks of launching such project in this segment. We don’t even have a single operator, not to mention a pool of them to select from," he said.
"We can now talk about the area, about infrastructure projects to service the gambling zone, but, unfortunately, [we can] not [talk] about building up the process in a professional manner of ensuring financial result,” Nakhlupin added.
