The mission representatives of the IMF Fiscal Affairs Department will examine in detail the status and implementation of the changes foreseen in the activities of the SFS. They will assess the development of fiscal service reform plan and update all their preliminary recommendations," reads the statement.

According to the report, the IMF representatives together with SFS experts will discuss the planned steps to tackle such issues as VAT administration, advance payments of income tax, payments of single social contribution, as well as VAT refunds.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the development of the reform plan of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine is one of the preconditions for allocation of the second tranche to Ukraine under the Extended Fund Facility Program with the IMF.

The reform of the State Fiscal Service, planned to be completed by the end of 2016, aims at combatting corruption in the SFS, as well as eliminating loopholes for tax evasion and smuggling.
