Business Ombudsman in Ukraine Algirdas Semeta intends to sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies.
Documents have already been approved with the State Regulatory Service and tax agencies, he told Ukrainian Channel 5.
"Cooperation with the tax authorities has been more or less regular until now. The so-called force structures, i.e. the prosecutor's office, are the ones we'd like to improve our cooperation a bit with. I'm planning to meet with the chiefs of the Prosecutor General’s Office and suggest signing a memorandum of cooperation with the prosecution agencies. A similar memorandum has already been signed with the State Regulatory Service. The wording of such a memorandum has already been agreed with the Ukrainian Justice Ministry," Semeta said.
As UNIAN reported earlier, former European Commissioner for Taxation, Customs Union, Anti-Fraud, Audit and Statistics Algirdas Semeta was appointed by the Ukrainian government as Ukraine's Business Ombudsman to represent interests of Ukrainian businesses and companies that do business in Ukraine.
