The President of Ukraine signed the Law on Amendments to the 2015 State Budget on an increase of expenses for the needs of defense and security, according to the Parliament’s website.
According to the report, the law, signed by the president, returned to parliament on August 11.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada adopted on July 17 Government-proposed draft law No2381a on amendments to the Law "On State Budget of Ukraine for 2015" (An increase in expences for defense and security).
The law stipulates the increase of spending to fund the Anti-Terrorist Operation, amounting to over UAH 5.299 billion under the approved indicators of the State Budget of Ukraine for 2015.
The increase of expences for the needs of the security forces will be provided by a corresponding reduction of other general expenses and the acquisition of UAH 200 million (85% instead of 15%) of fees for obtaining data from the state registers, maintained by the Ministry of Justice.
Over UAH 5.14 billion will be allocated to finance urgent needs of the Ministry of Defense in connection with the extension of mobilization; UAH 158.7 million will be disbursed to finance the needs of other law enforcement agencies to ensure uninterrupted food supplies to the personnel.
