American Boeing Company will buy Ukrainian engines and carrier rockets manufactured by Ukrainian state design office Yuzhnoye and rocket-building company Pivdenmash, Ukrainian news broadcaster TSN reported.
According to Head of the State Space Agency of Ukraine Lubomyr Sabadosh, one of the conditions of cooperation with the American company is that Ukraine must not cooperate with the countries subject to the U.S. sanctions.
Yuzhnoye design company will supply carrier rockets Zenit and Antares, the report notes.
Memorandum of Cooperation between the two sides is planned to be signed by late October – early November this year, against the backdrop of the planned visit of NASA (U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration) delegation to Ukraine.
Sabadosh also mentioned another interesting project proposed by the Ukrainian side on construction of a new satellite that would help Ukraine tackle its telecommunications tasks.
As UNIAN reported earlier, Ukrainian state enterprise Antonov launched construction of a new multipurpose aircraft An-132 in collaboration with Saudi Arabia. According to company's CEO Mykhailo Gvozdev, the first aircraft prototype is to be completed by the end of 2016.
