As reported, anthracite coal, which is in short supply in Ukraine, accounts for 835,900 tonnes of total reserve volumes. Its reserves for the reported period increased by 12.2%.

At this, 416,300 tonnes of anthracite coal is stockpiled at Luhansk TPP, which is operating separately from Ukraine's power grid.

According to Ukrenergo, the amount of power imports from Russia at peak loads (20:00) is 530 MW, at minimum loads (04:00) they equal zero.

As UNIAN reported earlier, by October 1 Ukraine needs to stockpile about 3.2 million tonnes of coal in warehouses of Ukrainian TPPs and combined heat and power stations.

On September 14, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk accused the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of disrupting the implementation of the action plan regarding preparation for the heating season, including the organization of coal supplies to TPPs. Yatsenyuk asked the Energy Ministry to fulfill all the requirements earlier announced by the government for the purchase of coal and loading of the Ukrainian TPPs with fuel.

Yatsenyuk also recalled that the government had allocated the necessary funds for the purchase of fuel, but they were not used as intended.
