The European Union has lifted restrictions on operations with Russia related to rocket fuel components.
The sanctions are lifted regarding assistance related to operations with hydrazine and its derivatives - unsymmetrical dimethyl hydrazine and Monomethyl Hydrazine, according to a statement by the Council of the European Union
These components are needed for the implementation of the European space programs and launches of the European-made satellites.
Hydrazine is widely used in rocket equipment, in particular in carrier rockets, including the Russian Protons and the French Arianas.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the EU is not yet considering to impose new sanctions related to Russia's military campaign in Syria.
