The European Union has signed an agreement on the first gas communication between Poland and Lithuania that put an end to gas isolation of the entire Baltic region.
The signing ceremony took place in Brussels on Thursday, according to an UNIAN correspondent.
The document was signed in the presence of European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker, EU Commissioner for Energy and Climate Action Miguel Arias Canete, Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, Lithuanian President Dalia Grybauskaite, Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma and Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Roivas.
