Yatsenyuk orders to urgently consider flight ban to Egypt

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk has instructed the Ministry of Infrastructure and the special services of Ukraine to urgently assess existing risks for Ukrainian citizens flying to Egypt considering the recent events in the region, according to a posting on the website of the government.

If those risks are identified, urgent measures will be imposed regarding a temporary ban on flights to the said region, according to Yatsenyuk.

As UNIAN reported earlier, a number of European air carriers have suspended flights to Egypt in connection with the crash of the A321 Russian airliner travelling from Sharm El Sheikh to Saint Petersburg. The plane was carrying 217 passengers and 7 crew members. There were no survivors in the crash.
