Vice-Speaker of the State Duma Nikolai Levichev has sent a request to Rosaviation to immediately stop air service between Russia and Turkey, until steps are taken to eliminate any possible sources of terrorist threat in Turkish airports.
"Turkey's national air carrier Turkish Airlines is operating flights from Istanbul and other Turkish cities in a number of localities in the area of increased terrorist threat, according to the request of the MP. At the same time, aircraft depart to different Russian cities from these Turkish airports," he told Russian information agency RBK.
