Ukraine's Demchyshyn names timescales to restore power lines to Crimea

The repair crews can complete restoration of a 220 kV Kakhovka-Tytan power transmission line within three hours after getting access to the site, Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said during the parliament's hour of questions to the government on Friday.

"About three hours is necessary to complete the repair works, but Ukrenergo experts still do not have access," he said.

However, Demchyshyn said that Ukrenergo repair teams would need about three days to restore power transmission lines in the direction of Crimea, but they would be able to start these works only after the permission of the security forces.
