Russia drafts $10 bln arms sales deal with Saudi Arabia

Moscow is considering arming the United States' top ally in the Middle East region, Saudi Arabia, Russian newspaper Kommersant-Dengi (literally "money") reported, citing its own sources.

It has been reported that the Saudis are negotiating purchases of Iskander-E tactical missile systems, while also confirming their readiness to start pre-contract negotiations over the purchase of several battalions of S-400 anti-aircraft weapon systems.

Kommersant reports that Moscow is preparing a package deal worth $10 billion  for the next visit of Saudi king to Russia. The deal covers sales of aviation equipment and ammunition to Saudi Arabia, as well as several types of air defense systems of various ranges.
