Yatsenyuk pushes for expanding list of persons under sanctions

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk instructed to draw up new proposals for a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) concerning the expansion of list of individuals and entities under Ukraine's sanctions.

"Let us prepare new proposals of the Cabinet [of Ministers] for the NSDC meeting to expand the list of individuals and entities under Ukraine's sanctions," Yatsenyuk said at a government meeting.

As UNIAN reported earlier, on September 16, 2015 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko signed the Decree "On the Decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of September 2, 2015 "On imposition of personal special economic and other restrictive measures."

On November 24, 2015 Ukrainian Information Policy Minister Yuriy Stets said the ad hoc group jointly with representatives of the Information Policy Ministry and the Parliamentary Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy had developed proposals to amend the list of persons subject to Ukraine's sanctions.
