Bulgaria and Turkey are interested in using the Ukrainian gas transport system and underground storage facilities for the purchase of natural gas in the European Union, Ukrtransgaz CEO Ihor Prokopiv said at a press conference in Kyiv.
"The Bulgarians and Turks are ready to buy gas from Europe through the territory of Ukraine," he said.
According to Prokopiv, these countries intend to transit gas for their needs through Slovakia, Ukraine, Moldova and Romania.
At the same time, Turkey and Bulgaria also consider the storage of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities.
Prokopiv said that the company had already held talks with the representatives of Bulgargaz and Moldavagaz, and it plans to hold talks with representatives of the Slovak Republic in early April.
