Provisional administration to remain at insolvent Khreschatyk Bank until June 4

The Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund has extended the authority of the provisional administration at Kyiv's insolvent Khreschatyk Bank for one month – until June 4, according to the Fund's website.

The powers of the provisional administrator of the bank, Ihor Kostenko, are extended for the same period.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund introduced the provisional administration at the bank after the National Bank of Ukraine declared it insolvent on April 5.

Managing Director of the Individuals' Deposit Guarantee Fund Andriy Olenchyk said that the Fund had estimated the amount of compensation to be paid to depositors of Kyiv's insolvent Khreschatyk Bank at UAH 2.8 billion.

According to Vice-Governor of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Kateryna Rozhkova, the bank's liquidity worsened after some enterprises owned by the bank's shareholders had transferred their accounts to other banks.
