PM Groysman reports power supply in Avdiyivka fully restored

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has announced that the power supply in the town of Avdiyivka, which has recently become the epicenter of fighting in the east of Ukraine, has completely been restored, despite the fact that all the necessary work was being performed under constant shelling by Russian-backed militants.

"The power supply in Avdiyivka is now fully restored. But as soon as repair services proceeded to carry out the works, the militants started shelling. Now our task is to support residents of Avdiyivka, let the town resume normal operations – if it can be called normal, because every minute there is a threat of attacks across the contact line," he said on a Ukrainian TV channel

Groysman recalled that during the days of massive shelling of the town, all services were in constant readiness to help the local residents. "All services are in place now. Everyone knows what to do. We will do everything possible to rebuild the town without cutting it off the grids, but we cannot predict the militants' actions. They can strike at power facilities at any moment," Groysman said.
