"The Biosecurity and Consumer Protection Service has not received official notification of the limitation on Ukrainian poultry imports yet. However, taking into account the fact that bird flu outbreaks have been registered in Ukraine, such a measure may be taken by the Moldovan regulator in line with international requirements," it said.

The first bird flu outbreaks in 2016 were registered in Kherson region on November 30.
