The ban is imposed on imports of live poultry and poultry meat, hatching eggs, down and feather; wild, zoo and circus birds; egg powder, egg melange, albumin, and other chicken egg processed products.

In addition, Belarus banned poultry imports from certain areas of Denmark, Russia, and France.
As UNIAN reported earlier, the first outbreaks of bird flu in Ukraine in 2016 were recorded in Kherson region on November 30. Previous bird flu outbreaks were registered in Ukraine's Crimea in 2008 (four cases).
New bird flu outbreaks were registered in Chernivtsi and Odesa regions in early January 2017.
