Finance Minister comments on situation on currency market

Any deviation from the budgeted rate of UAH 27.2 to the dollar would require amendments to plans, but there are no such grounds for this at the moment, Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk said, according to one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

"The rate of UAH 27.2 to the dollar has been laid in the budget. In principle, this is what we see on the market. And we believe that such rate will remain throughout the year. If it changes, we'll have to change our plans, but there are no grounds for this at the moment," Danyliuk said.

According to him, the last month’s currency fluctuations were of a speculative nature; and the situation has been resolved since then.
