The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is developing algorithms and exploring possibilities to launch as soon as possible imports of deficient anthracite coal, as the reserves thereof are shrinking as a result of the blockade of its supplies from the ATO zone, Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion said at the annual Ukrainian Energy Forum.
"We are taking all measures to reduce the consumption of anthracite coal and developing algorithms that will allow delivering imported coal in the near future," Kistion said.

On February 15, the Cabinet decided at an emergency meeting to introduce emergency measures on the electricity market, which would allow a reduction in anthracite consumption. Ukraine's Deputy Prime Minister Hennadiy Zubko said energy consumption instructions had already been sent to the regions, and those who will exceed daily power consumption limits will be fined.
