Sales of used vehicles in Ukraine rose by 3.6 times in February 2017, to 3,032 units year-over- year (y-o-y), according to the Ukravtoprom Association's press service.
Sales of used cars increased by 18.5% in February 2017 from January 2017, the association said.
The share of cars with mileage in the primary market of Ukraine was 38% in February 2017, while this figure stood at 17% in February 2016.
Some 5,212 used cars imported from abroad replenished the domestic motor fleet in just the first two months of this year.
Renault with 1,018 сars and Volkswagen with 933 vehicles were the leaders in the primary market of used cars in January-February 2017.
Read alsoNew car sales in Ukraine up by 41% in 2016According to the association, the number of used Renault cars registered in January-February 2017 almost equals the sales of new Renault cars over the same period. At the same time, the initial registration of Volkswagen cars with mileage exceeded the sales of new cars by 14%. Sales of used Skoda cars grew by 22% compared to sales of new cars, while the demand for old Opel cars was almost 7 times higher than sales of new cars.
As UNIAN reported earlier, sales of new cars in Ukraine in 2016 grew by 41% from 2015, to 65,500 units, according to Ukravtoprom.
