Korean Daewoo mulling over assembly of electric cars in Ukraine

Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan says representatives of Posco Daewoo, one of the largest Korean trading corporations, are interested in deployment of facilities to assemble electric cars in Ukraine.

The minister said he had met with Posco Daewoo's CEO this week, during which the representative of the Korean delegation highly appreciated the efforts of Ukraine's Infrastructure Ministry in development of the electric vehicles segment in the country.

"We've met with them and agreed that their delegation will come in late April or early May to study the Ukrainian market regarding the possibility of electric vehicles sales and prospects for their production," the minister said.

In his words, the company has already experience of operation in Ukraine, which is a positive aspect for deepening cooperation between the countries.
