Tesla’s letter on rejection of Ukraine offer "fake" – Groysman’s spox

An alleged response from Tesla to Ukrainian Prime Minister’s offer to invest in the country was actively discussed in social media recently.

"The famous company expectedly refused the premier’s offer, citing high level of corruption and unfavorable investment climate in Ukraine," UBR.ua wrote.

However, many doubted the letter’s authenticity.

According to Prime Minister’s spokesman Dmytro Stoliarchuk, this document is nothing but a hoax. "It's a fake," he affirmed.

"Just check out my prior tweet on pricing ($250 kWh at pack level). Website will be updated soon, so there is complete transparency," Musk tweeted in a response to Groysman’s offer.

Earlier, Musk announced the successful launch of an energy storage project on Powerwall 2 battery technology.

Groysman showed interest in the idea.

"Thanks, @elonmusk. Interesting idea. Ukraine is eager to become a test site for innovation. Let's talk it over in detail," the Ukrainian PM wrote.

Groysman earlier stressed the need for Ukraine to invite advanced technologies to various branches of economy. The use of renewable sources of energy along with energy saving programs are considered to be top priorities.
