Head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPF) Ihor Bilous has decided to tender his resignation, according to his Facebook post.

"Today I've submitted [my] resignation from the post of head of the State Property Fund of Ukraine. I spent three years of my life working for the public service. Almost two of them [were] in the Fund. That wasn't easy but I'm grateful for the opportunity to serve my country in these difficult times," he wrote on Monday.

"Our team has successfully implemented a lot of ideas. The most important among them is the introduction of international privatization standards. Some things were launched for the first time in 25 years of Ukraine's independence. I'm proud that we managed to make the privatization process in Ukraine simpler and more transparent. The draft law we developed will finalize the transition of privatization process from political to economic sphere. We began this reform and it will be continued by others," he wrote.

He announced that he would return to investment business.

"With all experience and knowledge that I acquired here, I see my primary task in helping to attract investment to Ukraine, contributing to its economic development. I`ve got enough energy and determination to continue serving my country in this capacity," he added.
