In particular, cabbage price rose by almost 2.5 times (by 137.4%), carrot price grew by 13.5%, onion – by 77.8%, beet – by 44.9%, and potatoes – by 22.3%, to UAH 7.78 per kilogram.

The reason for the rise in price of vegetables was a seasonal reduction in their stocks and problems with logistics due to unfavorable weather conditions, the press service said.

At the same time, the UAC noted that even despite the significant price spike, some products were still cheaper compared to last year. Thus, beet price in annual terms fell by almost 40%. The only exception is potatoes, which price exceeds last year's indicator by 47.3%.
