Ukraine sees $106 mln surplus in foreign trade in Q1

Ukraine posted a foreign trade surplus of US$106.2 million in January-March 2017 against a deficit of $142.5 million year-over-year, according to the website of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.

Imports of goods and services to Ukraine, excluding processing of customer-supplied raw materials, amounted to $12.339 billion, while exports of goods and services from Ukraine were estimated at $12.445 billion, the statistics reports said.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the foreign trade balance of Ukraine showed a surplus of $337.3 million in 2016, which was 90.9% down on the surplus recorded in 2015 at $3.828 billion.
